Following a spontaneous desire, the "Best of La.Meko" audience says "THANK YOU!" to all movie makers.

O'zapft is! - It's tapped!
28 Oct 2011

What we tapped yesterday is the pool of shorts which was filled during the recent 10 years of festival, and out came the best of the best! We called it "Best of La.Meko" and made it our first retrospective ever.

However, if it was only for the crowd, one could have thought we offer free beer.

Audience, you were wonderful - once again! Thanks!!!

And we hope you're as much looking forward to the big, fat festival in november as we do! See you there!

Back to the roots - Extension!
17 Jul 2011

This year, we want to revive a good old tradition: The extension of the end of submission's time (strange wording, I guess, but you know what I mean).

You can send in your movies until August 31, 2011 (instead of today).

Click here to download Call for Entries 2011.

Alea iacta est: The festival date is fixed
13 Apr 11

On the first day, the Great Festival Organisator created a website. On the second day, he created a festival date. On the third day, he created a clip.

And that's exactly how we do it, too.

Clip, clip, hurray!

Self-made clay, animation and music.

Clip here to see the click ... äh ...

A Festivaltermin was born!

The big event starts on Monday, November 21st, and ends on November 26th, 2011. 5 long days of short movies!!!

External thoughts
11 Apr 2011

"External [...] thoughts are shitty shit." It's not us who said this. It's philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer in his oeuvre "The art of insulting" - a book which we didn't even read.

We appreciate external thoughts very much.

Here are some, both of them in German though:

Radio station 'Antenne 1' interviews Olaf
[.mp3]

Daily paper 'Rheinpfalz' reports
[.pdf]
